The official start of the 2018 AVP season! Heather and her partner KP battled in the qualifier of the Huntington Beach AVP/FIVB event but came up just short of qualifying. It’s great that she’s back to competing, but they are hoping for a better outcome next time. There are still seven tournaments left—Austin, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Chicago. With the increased popularity of beach volleyball, the competition this year is significantly and noticeably better than last year. However, there is a lot of time left to qualify at an event!
